idol quest
In the middle of a jungle lake, a priceless Idol sits atop an ancient tower. Your Explorer must build a 3D path across the lake, seize the Idol and escape to a waiting boat before another player beats him to it -- or buries your Explorer under stone blocks!
The theme of this strategy game leans heavily on nostalgic, romantic notions of an explorer deep in the jungle hunting for treasure. I found inspiration in all the jungle adventure movies of the 1950’s, Tarzan and of course Indiana Jones!
The final logo is shown here along with some of its variations and some rough concepts of both the logo and idol. Notice that the initials of the game “IQ” are embedded in the art on the tower.
